This “all-in-one” slim case protects your tablet on-the-go, then props your tablet up hands-free when you are using it!
At only 1″ thick closed, the Tablet Prop-or-Go packs easily into a tote, purse, briefcase, or backpack. It is not padded, which keeps it lightweight and slim, but the multiple layers provide protection from small bumps. To view and use your tablet, just open the case like a book, and without removing your tablet, prop it up at an angle that is comfortable for you. Can make to work in landscape-only mode (which is how I prefer to use it). However, since some apps only work in portrait mode, the Tablet Prop-or-Go can also be made to work interchangeably between landscape and portrait orientations.
The wide, sturdy platform base makes it comfortable and steady to use on your lap or on a desk. When you are ready to go, just fold and go!
You can make a very quick basic version (elastic closure, no pockets), or you can spend a little more time for the “extras” (large pocket, business card pocket, flap closure, contrast spine, etc.). Either way, you always have access to ports and buttons while the tablet is on the dock. An optional camera hole allows camera use while docked. Depending on the fabric you use, you may need to add a skid-strip so the easel will not slip (directions included).
There are four pre-set sizes (in inches: 5×8, 5.5×8.5, 6.75×9.75, 7.75×10) to fit the most common-size tablets. However, if you need a different size there is a simple formula to use to get the exact size you need! And, if you are feeling extra crafty, the cover is easy to personalize since it is only one main pattern piece.
15-page PDF Pattern includes 11 pages of instructions/diagrams, 2 pages of templates, 1 page of Patchwork Possibilities to design-your-own (no detailed instructions for the patchwork), and 1 page of finished Prop-or-Go photos. The measurements are in inches only (no metric). Some rectangles have to be rotary cut (no templates included)
