Explore your color creativity with these two easy, figure-flattering vests. Both are reversible and go together quickly because there are no darts, zippers, buttonholes or binding! Both can be made primitive, casual, or dressy, depending on your fabric choice, and can be easily embellished, if desired.
The Color Block Vest, with a bit of crazy-patch on one shoulder, is fat-quarter and fat-eighth friendly and has built-in self-lined pockets, created when you attach the lower folded sections–easiest pockets you will ever make! Full-size patterns included for vest front and vest back. Color-block pieces and crazy patche pieces are rotary cut without a pattern.
The Strippy Vest uses twelve 1 1/2-inch x 21-inch strips to make a waterfall of color. Full-size patterns included for vest front and vest back. Strips are rotary cut without a pattern.
A primitive blossom or star pin adds a finishing touch to either vest. Tip for choosing vest lining–plain is fine, but consider using a WOW fabric (large print fabric, slightly textured fabric, embroidered fabric, etc.) to make your vest do double duty.
